HUGE LEAP FOR MANITOBA IN THE FRASER INSTITUTE SURVEY OF MINING COMPANIES

The province has jumped into the top ten jurisdictions in the world for mining investment for 2023, moving into sixth spot from 2022’s 14th position.

The improved results were just released in the Fraser Institute’s annual survey for 2023. Canada has the most jurisdictions in this year’s top 10, followed by the United States and Australia.

MAMI’s Co-Director John Morris stated, “A large part of this improvement is due to the hard work done by MAMI members in collaboration with the provincial government.”

He added, “Mining has become a hot topic in Manitoba, and we have only just begun!”
